Afternoon everyone,

I'm using IP Office SoftConsole Version 4.2.31 with IP Office 8.1 (69). I am able to login into the extension (its full functional) but after about a minute or 2 it closes the session with the login screen. The native LAN and Phone subnets can communicate with each other, I manage the IP Office from that LAN Subnet. I disabled the firewall and my anti-virus, no luck. I was wondering if you can give me some suggestions or somethings to try on why it would be doing that? I also ran that .bat file from Avaya just in case that was causing it.

LAN Subnet: 172.18.xxx.xxx

Phone Subnet: 172.25.xxx.xxx

Thanks.

So I tested a few things out. I put a laptop on the same subnet (Same VLAN) as the phone network and it worked fine. No login page after 15 minutes, looks stable. That is weird that if your on a different subnet it would disconnect you like that? Any ideas why?

VLAN 1: Data

VLAN 10: Phone

Thanks!

I tend to have the soft console pc with a static IP on the voice vlan, and add a data vlan ip to the card.

Is there any way around this? I don't really want the receptionist computer on the Voice VLAN, want to keep them separate. Any other suggestions?

If you have a INTEL Pro network card then you can download a utility form INTEL to create a VLAN on the NIC.
Then the PC has access to the data VLAN and the voice VLAN over the same NIC.
