Hi All,

I keep receiving this alarm on IPO manager R12.0

" AVAYA IP office System is configured to support resiliency. Registration of IP extensions in failover requires the corresponding registrar to be enabled"

How do eliminate this alarm and steps to be taken?

Customer site has Primary, Secondary and IP500 expansion unit

Current configuration

Check VoIP settings for both servers, primary AND secondary, in Manager: System / LAN1 / VoIP:
1. "SIP Registrar Enable" has to be checked
2. "SIP Domain Name": this value must not be empty and has to be the same for both servers. For instance: "company.com"

Hi @tsackl

I follow the steps given but new alarm appeared and I have yet to reboot the IPO application.

By the way, the customer using H.323 IP phone and 3rd party SIP phones only.

You've enabled SIP extension support on the secondary but it has no SIP phones - the error message is because having a SIP registrar enabled is an increased security risk so they don't want you doing that unless you actually need it. Nothing to do with resilience.

Your choice is to be tough and ignore the message, or to add at least one SIP extension to the secondary (rehouse one of the SIP phones that currently registers on the primary).

it should be enough to just create a fake extension that never registers. Or ignore the warning.
