Have an IP Office Server Edition 9.0.2 with 2 Expansions. One is sitting on the same subnet and everything is working fine. The remote system is connected with an MPLS that connects with a Cisco ASA and Checkpoint. I was able to add it to the Solution with no problems. The issue is the Remote site is showing License Server Error: License Server request Timeout, invalid/Error Response.

I have 5 Server Edition R9 license and only 1 is in use.

Can someone let me know what Ports the License request uses so I can try and trace that down with their Data team?

I'd bet that you have something blocked, or a missing route, between the primary site and the remote site which is trying to pull the license from the primary.

I would check the following items:

1. using SSA, can you ping from remote to primary, and vice-versa (important that you ping from the server and the remote IP500, not from a data switch or something else)
2. In SSA (Lines, look at the SCN line) and sysMon (Status/ Scn License and also under Small Community Networking), do SCN Links look OK?

I've had this exact scenario twice, and both times it appeared that the IP500 expansion had onboarded correctly, but it refused to pull a virtual SE licnese, or virtual IP endpoint licenses for that matter, from the primary.

Both cases, it was a missing route somewhere that was blocking access one-way (don't remember which). By the combination of points 1 and 2 above, you should be able to see which end is causing the problem.

Hope this helps.

From SSA both Systems can ping each other. On the Server Edition the IP trunk shows the SCN up. On the Remote IP500 it shows that it is not Licensed. In Sys Mon on the Server it only shows the License for the Server and the local 500, does not show the SCN lic for the Remote IP500. For Small Community Network in Sys Mon shows the Trunk on the Server to the proper IP. On the Remote IP500 in Sys Mon - It is showing the Trunk also. Just will not receive the License.

I have defaulted the Remote Site and joined it back to the solution with no change.

Did you reboot the rever after adding the IP500v2?
Why are there ports blocked?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Yes rebooted several times and I am trying to figure out what Ports. The Customers IT have it locked down tight.

Search here for ports an SCN.
