I have an IP Office 406 DS, 3.2(54) using 5400 series phones, server is running XP. The last couple of days we have experienced disconnects between the Control Unit and the server. I can ping the control unit but cannot open Call Status or pull a config from the Control Unit. In addition, several of the phones will not come up. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the issues you get preceding the LAN ports going pop, seen that on a few 406's....and that was years ago, they won't have improved with age :)

I had a similar issue with a IP Office 500 V1 not long ago. I ended up putting in a 4 port data switch between the IP Office and the VMPro Server. This solved the issue. The Data switch that they were originally going to (which was a 3Com switch) didn't like the traffic from the IPO to the VMPro Server. I ended up using a Cisco business class 4 port switch and this solved the issue. It took me 3 months to troubleshoot this. It was frustrating.

I hope this helps.
