Hi All,

Currently I am using IPO R12 Server Edition (Select) and tried to use the short-code to enable and disable the DND remotely for an EXT but Fail. Instead, it enable its own EXT

*08*N# - DND On
*09*N# - DND Off

Example:
EXT 2901 keyin the shortcode DND On for EXT 83011 > *08*83011#

EXT 83011 shows DND off. view the attachment

How do I enable DND for an EXT remotely. Is it possible.

Fyi. Both EXT's is in the same building but different floor

Seek for advise and support. Thank you

Are you telling us that you are not using a uniform dialplan? All extensions registered to the same PBX should have the same amount of digits.
Nevertheless, I think *08 / *09 only work locally on your phone, unless you're using FNE, which is licensed IIRC.

EDIT:
You could try to activate trusted source on 2901. Go edit that user, go to SourceNumber tab and add an entry V83011.
From there onwards, ext will be able to listen to ext 83011 voicemail messages but maybe, maybe, making it a trusted source it can then use the *08*83011 to enable DND. Long shot but worth a try. But there's that caveat, he'll be able to listen the other guy's VM messages...

Use a Voicemail Pro module that has you enter the extension number, pulls the and announces the current status of DND for that extension number, then offers you the choice to enable or disable DND, then re-pulls and -re-announces the status.

Meanwhile, the Do Not Disturb On and Do Not Disturb shortcode features do not use the telephone number field. In IP Office terms, that means you can't pass an extension number to the features using that field, they only work for the user dialing the shortcode.

As said, a custom callflow in Voicemail Pro can be used to change various settings of other users, including DND. In addition, a user with IP Office SoftConsole access can also alter a range of settings for other users, again including Do Not Disturb. FNE would still need you to connect to the system as if you were that user, in which case it would simple be easier to login as them (hotdesk), make the change, and then log out.
