In IP Office System Status there is a metric for "Number of Channels in Use"
Is there any way for me to find or measure the highest that value goes during a given period of time? - Other than having an intern stare at the screen all day :p

Our contract is up, and I'm trying to figure out if I can get away with less lines safely.

Thanks for your help.

If you look at the trunk it shows the channels individually, in the UK at least the higher channels only get used when needed, so if some say idle for 10 days+ then it's safe to say you aren't really using them :)

That is the way I thought ours would have worked,
but watching it, outgoing calls start at the highest channel,
but incoming calls pop up seemingly randomly.

So none of them have been idle from more than an hour, even though we haven't used more than a few at once during the past hour.

EDIT:
Actually incoming calls are going to the channel that has been idle the longest.

Just sign up for a XIMA Chronicall trial - You'll have your answer + You may want to buy a working license (it's rather cheap), when you see the reports generated.

Kind regards

Thanks,

The Trunk Usage Summary report in XIMA Chronicall is just what I was looking for.
