We have an IP Office connected to an Asterisk PABX server using an E1 cross over cable. We can make calls from the IP Office to Asterisk without a problem however we cannot get calls routing the other way. Log below shows a call coming in from extension 200 on Asterisk to both an external number and an IP Office extension. I susepct we are missing some config on the IP Office. Also caller name information is not being passed between the systems either. Anyone have any experience connecting an IP office back to back with another PBX

Was missing the incoming call route, now calls working inbound also. However I still do not get caller name between the systems.
More important I get noise on the line and our Asterisk server shows the line resetting every 20 seconds or so which disconnects any active calls. I have set the clock quality to unsuitable but this does not help.

Make sure the protocol between systems is the same.(ESF, B8Z, etc.) Also make sure the clocking between systems is correct.

If you are using Q-sig between difrent systems then the name (mostly)is not send.
But maby im wrong.

Actually the name is sent using qsig. You can view them in a monitor trace.

Can someone help me out further with the E1 line periodially resetting? On my Asterisk server I have the line configured as CSS framing and hdb3 encoding. Not sure if I should have it configured as a sync source or not. CRC is enabled on both the Avaya and Asterisk server.
