IP Office 500v2, R11.0.0.2(23) software, Essential Edition license, 9508 phones. Small site with about 15 phones. Customer would like overhead paging, and has the overhead speakers installed. We have a V-2001A zone controller and a VMT-2 Isolation Transformer. What am I missing?

-Connections
VMT-2 Output: Valcom Tech Support says a cable from OUTPUT on the VMT-2 to Tip & Ring terminals on the V-2001A. Tech used a CAT5 for this and used the blue pair
VMT-2 Input: Tech Support says to connect the (+) and (-) terminals on the INPUT of the VMT-2 to an analog Station Port on the V-2001A. Tech support says to use an RJ11 cord, but which wires do you connect when you strip the RJ11 end that's going into the (+) and (-) terminals?
-Speaker wire running from PAGE + MUSIC terminals on the V-2001A to the overhead speakers

-Configuration
-Analog station port that is configured as a Paging Speaker. The extension for that port (Ext. 298) is part of the PAGE ALL group, so any page made by pressing the PAGE ALL button should be heard on the overhead speakers as well as the phones.
-BATTERY FEED switch on the V-2001A is set to OFF

We previously used a Bogen WMT1A in place of the VMT-2 but are trying to use the VMT-2 since it's a Valcom part and the V-2001A is a Valcom. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The modular plug is going to be the 2 center conductors - White/Blue pair of a 568-B

Thanks, GREAT diagram! Unfortunately, the overhead paging still isn't working. A second Valcom tech support person just told me that the VMT-2 isn't even necessary, that I should be able to go RJ11 from the station port on the IPO to the Page T/R terminals on the V-2001A, Battery Feed set to OFF, and then paging should work. I tried that as well and didn't get anything, either, though at least I got an initial squawk from the speakers when I connected them. Any suggestions?

UPDATE: After speaking to Valcom again and checking the WMT1A I have set up on another system, I swapped out the RJ11 cable on the VMT-2 for a CAT5 (blue pair runs to the VMT-2 INPUT outside screw terminals on one end, with the RJ45 plugging into the analog station port on the IPO) and the paging started working immediately. I'm no cable expert by any stretch, but can't figure out why an RJ45 works just fine but an RJ11 doesn't. The end result looks like this:

Valcom VMT-2
-INPUT: CAT5 Blue Pair connected to outside screw terminals one one end, with the RJ45 plug on the other end connected to the IPO analog station port
-OUTPUT: CAT5 Blue Pair connected to "600" screw terminals, with the CAT5 Blue Pair on the other end connected to the PAGE tip & ring screw terminals on the V-2001A

Valcom V-2001A
-Battery Feed switch turned to OFF
-Speaker wire running from PAGE w/o MUSIC screw terminals to paging speaker
-VMT2 connection listed above for the PAGE T/R terminals to VMT-2

IPO Analog Station Port
-Configured as "Paging Speaker", Ext. 208, with RJ45 from VMT2 connected to it

IPO "Page All" Button
Label - Page All
Action - Dial Paging
Action Data - Ext. 301 (Hunt Group with all extensions contained within, including the "Paging Speaker" Ext. 208)

So far, so good - repeated tests have worked normally, even after multiple reboots. Thanks again to TTT for his help and the diagram
