I am 95% finished installing a IP Office v9.1 system and I am coming from a 30yr old Definity G3R3. Someone in my organization has found out that it is possible to install a plug in into Outlook that will allow them to click and dial a phone # from their email. What all would this take to setup? One-X Portal? Equinox? Licensing? I am at square one now. Any suggestions/info are appreciated. It looks like this might be handy for our Recruiting dept to use to dial people back from received emails but I don't know how much we will need to install and spend to make this happen. Clicking on phone #s in email is really all they would need.

+ a One-X Portal server? Or just the Preferred Edition and that license? Seems like the One-X Portal has a lot more than we would use. I don't want to confuse them, a new phone system is confusing them enough.:)

You can also use the basic Tapi2 service.

It’s all in the tapi guide

Does not require any licence.
Install it on a pc..and set the dialler details to use your phone user and password.

They can then use the contacts in outlook to dial from there PC.
The actual call is from the user desk phone.
