I have a new install of One-X, VM Pro and IP Office (9.1.7)

I am using Firefox to login to the One-X Portal

I know I have messages because my Avaya Communicator shows I have messages, as well, the SSM shows I have messages

I didn't have any indicator on Communicator - but changing the login to the extension rather than the user name resolved that issue.

My issue is the One-X Portal not able to check messages..

I saw a couple of posts - but most dealt with IE9. Another post refers to an uploaded picture that I can't see.

When I login to One-X Administrator - I really don't know what I am supposed to be seeing..

Help??!??!!?

Thanks!

Is one-x Linux or windows based?
If windows then make sure you first install IIS and only then VMPRO. If not then the web voicemail fails.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Hey TLPeter!

It's on a Linux box. I saw posts discussing the initialization, and use the advanced method rather than the basic method. I attempted to change the IP address from localhost in port 7070, but after that the One-X Portal wouldn't restart.

I reloaded the Linux server to put it at default, but when I ran the initialization it never asked about the advanced and basic configuration.

Is there a way to restart the initialization? The system is in our lab and will be installed tomorrow, so I have some time to do whatever is needed.

BTW - I am using Firefox for access to One-X.

Thanks!

It should be enough to check the VM provider settings in 1XP Admin.

I have seen this on some installs Windows or Linux it doesn't matter.
On the customer PCs there is the "Checking Messages" is displayed infinite while my laptop or my collegues laptop does not have this problem.
As I could proove it was a customer config problem we did not investigate the issue but I think it has to do with the customer policy and/or the company firewall.
All three use Trend Micro server based virus protection and all three have the same problem.
Disabling the virus scanner on the client did not make any difference but that is because the services cannot be turned off unless everyting is removed from the client PC.
Then the problem is gone.

Maybe it is not the cause in your problem but I suspect it is related to TFTP traffic blocked or delayed.

I went ahead and reinstalled the server image and got it working, thanks to all!!

But still, the underlying issue is that if you don't select Advanced during the One-X initialization then you're screwed

You could provision VM Pro server from one-X Admin -> configuration -> providers.
