Hi all i have an IP Office running 7.0.5 with 30 1608 and 20 1603 ip handsets. All phones have there own power supply provided by the power adapter. Every couple hours the phones restart and issue a ErrorURQ and URQreason is normally TCPclose for most phones. I have had 10 phones go down at once and of recent all phone completely went down due to this issue.

Please assist with any knowledge regarding these phones resetting and rebooting.

Definitely a network issue.
The reboot is because they loose connection to the IPO.
Is there any VLAN configured for voice?

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

No there are no vlans on the network configured for voice. The phones however have their own subdomain.

Then you have a network issue for sure.
The phones loose there connection to the ipo and because of that they reboot to try to get that connection back.

Any suggestions as to the best possible solution for dealing with this issue. Should I get the ip phones on there own vlans. If that doesn't work what else can I try

Yes, use VLANS.
What type of switches do you use?

3com switch 4200g is what the client has. Don't think they can do vlans through them. They use cisco routers to do vlans but that's about it. Vlans don't pass through to their other locations.

This has been great support. Will discuss it with the client and see if we can work to configure some vlans on their switches and sort out these network issues.

Let us know what happens.

Will keep you posted. Dont know if you have ever seen this but one of the 1603 phones went down and when it can back up it just flashed white. What do you do with those phones?

I think it is broken.
The 1600 series are a cheap phone and they seem to break done a lot.

My thoughts exactly. Thanks for your help. Will keep the post open till we try the vlans on Monday. Hopefully, I'll have good news to share. Until then thanks
