Hi Guys,

Has anyone had any experience with Zoom video conferencing?

Customer has an IP Office 500V2 and in the meeting rooms was using Spider phones for conferencing.

They are now looking to implement Zoom video conferencing and want to use the SIP trunks on the Avaya.

I'm not sure if this if possible, and cant find anything documentation wise about this. The Zoom website seems to mention Avaya Aura, Cisco and Shoretel.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Kind regards.

Have this set up in a couple of locations, how are they connecting to the IPO via SIP or analog? It is just a 3rd party SIP connection if SIP, it will just act a an extension, same with analog just without the license.

Hi teletechman,

Thank you for the response.

Avaya IP 500 with SIP trunks currently. The customer has sent me the following pic of the Zoom login. Does this look familiar??

Do they just need a 3rd Party Endpoint license.

Kind Regards,

yes they need a 3rd party endpoint license, then you just configure as a SIP extension.

Brilliant thank you teletechman,

I am going to try this tomorrow with the customer.

Im guessing the fileds in the pic I attached on last post are as follows:

User name* - 'Name' on the user tab in IP Office
Password* - 'Password' on the user tab in IP Office
Authorization Name* - 'Name' on the user tab in IP Office ??
Registrar Server* - Lan IP address on the IP Office.

Thanks again Mike. Much appreciated.

Kind Regards.

User name: Name in the user tab
Password: Login Code under user - supervisor settings
Auth name: user's extension
Registrar: IPO language IP
Domain: sip domain configured under system - LAN - VoIP if set.

Thank you derfloh,

got this working in the end.

I had to put the extension in the 'User Name' though for it to work.

thank you very much.
