What gauge do you guys normally ground the IP Office with?

I always use potting soil.
I always add some fertilizer.
Be aware that when you do this you need to use a brand new system.
If you don't then you will get issues with the 90 days grace period.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

14 gauge from each module to grounding block. Number 6 from grounding block to building steel.

Make sure:
Building steel connection is connected correctly and not held together with black tape. Also paint on steel needs to be removed for proper bonding.
If using a copper water pipe make sure that copper pipe doesn't change into plastic pipe before ground.
Number 14 or number 6 wire does not terminate into a potting plant container unless the container is grounded. :)

CarGoSki,

Is 6 Gauge from grounding block to building steel required, recommended or could it be different?

Thanks.

Number 6 to building steel is the standard. You can review the national electric code section on grounding and bonding to brush up on the subject. You will also find the same specification for other avaya pbxs if you know where to look.
