I am having problems over the past several months searching within the Avaya ip office forum. when I request a search it always comes back with no items as the result. Please advise, I am lost without this search feature.
Thanks, I thought it was just me. The search feature works fine with the definity forum! I have sent many requests to the support staff and never received a response
SPTech I think just about everyone has sent messages to the support staff. In fact I don't even think they exist my last user name went invalid for no reason and I had to sign up again. Not once did I receive an email form them over th issue, including the search problem.

I hear ya puregold. There is A LOT of great information in this site and specifically here in this forum and since the search went down people are asking the same questions again when most of the answers are already out there.
It is making it difficult to find responses if you even have a 2 day old post.
I have also sent emails pertaining to this, and never got a reply, however, they will certainly email you if you post a subject matter they feel is inappropriate. The staff is certainly giving the IPO forum group the cold shoulder. IPO is definetly one of the bread and butter forums on the site. You would think they would want to correct the forum search to keep the site functional and easy for the users. After all, if it werent for us technical users, this site would be nothing. Just a thought.
absolutely, basic forums can be downloaded and set up within minutes with simple search engines. I can't see why it isn't fixed, it makes this site more of an up to the minute notice board rather than a collection of useful infromation. I never scroll past 2 or 3 pages of messages anymore, it's easier to post again and again, although I do save most of the useful 1s in fav's.
till someone recommends something else, we're stuck.
I'm on my second username because of this issue as well - to date I've sent 5 emails about this and my account was closed with no explanation for suggesting that everyone else email the support guys...
It seems a little ironic that the only help forum we don't have here is for setting up forums - maybe then the support guys could get some help -
Thanks TT for fixing the search function. I am so pleased that I now no longer have to add every possibly helpful thread to my archive for future reference. My archive must be huge by now, and it does work well to keep things in there for common issues.
