ip office embedded voicemail to email set up

have a new ip500 r8 with embedded mail, email is hosted by provider, trying to setup vmail to email and having problems so far, any ideas or guidelines?

In most cases i have needed a relay server for this to work. what type of settings does your provider need? whats the encryption on the account?

You can try this to test if it works;

Register:

http://www.gmx.com/registration.html

Enter the following in the Manager > System > SMTP;

IP: 213.165.64.45
port: 587
email from address: you@gmx.com/us
server requires auth: ticked
user name; you@gmx.com/us
password; your password
use challenge response auth: unticked

I prefer to keep control of things in house and add an extra level of troubleshooting and diagnostics by relaying internally.
