Hi, I'm trying to set an analogue doorphone on an IP Office rel 9.0. Configured the extension port as IVR just like this
If I plug in a normal analog phone, everything works fine, call and hang up. But after plugging the doorphone, it starts dialing, every time you hang up the call, it dials again automatically. When someone answer the call, you cna hear and be heard. The problem is after hanging up the phone.

In SSA you can see the call has been erased, everytime.

Anyone??

Thanks intringant, any suggestions of proven doorman with IPO ??

Anyway, it should work with every doorman, isn't it? Working as an analogue station, shouldn't be any trouble... so, why this doorman keeps dialing?? Is there any feature I should look for in the new doorman?

A pleasant disposition and a good right arm.

Try to spend the next 10 seconds not thinking about a bi-polar bear.

The Bogen ADP-1 doorphone seems to work pretty good. Connected one to an IP Office analog station port a while back. Programmed the analog station port for hotline dialing to a hunt group.

We use Niko, 2N, Bell, Fasttel and some others depending on customer needs and wallet.
They all do what they suppose to do, some last longer as others but you'll have to pay for that.

Using Bogen as well.
Works fine even in extreme weather conditions.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Haven't tried with VMPro yet but if using Embedded VM try these instructions:

1. Create an AA with Maximum Inactivity set to 1 for disconnecting the door-phone after… so many rings (No Answer Time set within the Collective Call Waiting HG built in step 5)
2. Create a ShortCode to route to the AA in the previous step (1)
3. Create 2 phantom Users
4. Create a Sequential HG with one of the phantom Users (the second one)
5. Create a Collective Call Waiting HG with Users, and Overflow to the Sequential HG in the previous step (4) (Don’t forget to set the desired amount of rings before the call routes to the AA for disconnect as mentioned in step 1)
6. Program one of the phantom Users (the first one) to Forward to the Collective Call Waiting HG
7. Program the other phantom User (the second one) to Forward to the AA using the ShortCode built in step 2 & check mark Forward Hunt Group Calls
8. Program the analog door-phone User with a Dial-Down ShortCode: ?D / (the first phantom User extension #) / Dial Extension (ENTER A USER EXT.# NOT A HG EXT.# AS THE CALL WILL NOT ROUTE TO THE AA VIA SHORT-CODE OUT OF A HG IN A DIAL-DOWN USED IN THIS WAY)
9. Program the door-phone extension in Extension as an IVR Port & set the Disconnect Pulse Width to 0 so that the door phone won’t “ring-back” after hanging up with it (REQUIRES A REBOOT!)

When the door-phone button is pressed the call flow will look like this:
Call 1st phantom User -> Forward to Collective Call Waiting HG -> Overflow to Sequential HG -> Call 2nd phantom user -> Forward to AA using ShortCode -> AA disconnects the call.

Bullocks.
The call may disconnect but the door unit will not so it have disconnection tone played infinite.
Buy a known working doorphone.

Step 9 is what he really needs but if he wants the call to hang-up after some rings, and not ring indefinitely/or go to vm when nobody answers (perhaps over the weekend) you need the rest of the steps. Doesn't say what door-phone he's using but worked for me on a Valcom that refused to disco; no infinite tones, nothing. some door-phones have a disconnect time as well. --Check docs

Oh I get it, "Doorman" is the door-phone. May wanna check docs before you "trow away" and try the provided steps. If fails try holdmusic34's recommendation with intrigrant's suggestion

Thanks aroldan, I had tried the exact step 9 you suggest, but as a result the doorphone did not stop playing disconnect tone, as intrigrant said.

Anyway, we are already looking forward to buy another door-phone or doorman, whatever... haha

I've read the manual of the Doophone and it has no programmable parameters, only some jumpers to set.
It isn't even very cheap.

Thanks Gunnaro... BOGEN rules!!

Thanks everyone, this thread may be closed.

I use the Viking c1000B door phone controller and it works fine.

All the good ones work fine [smile] Viking, Bewator, Bogen, 2N, etc.

Apart form the obvious (that it works), I like the Bogen for it's flush mount, standard electrical box fit and stainless steel finish. Something you can put on the outside of an embassy without feeling ashamed.

Kind regards

Gunnar
