Has anyone else had this problem. Our customer has an IP Office with the latest upgrade 8.1.65 with 4 DIG DCPx30 V2 exp modules one 16 port analog module and one 16 port trunk module. If we do a shutdown (or they lose power) we unplug the IP office 500V2 control unit and let the expansions go to green before plugging in the main control unit as we are told we should...however when the control unit boots up it only sees the analog expansion unit and the trunk expansion unit not the 4 DIG DCPx30 V2 expansion modules! they just remain blinking green where the analog and trunk go solid green and work fine. The only solution we found was to unplug every patch cord from the DIG DCPx30 V2 modules (ALL 118 of them) bring the system up the exact same way and then the control unit sees them and they miraculously go solid green. Then we plug the 118 patch cords back in and the phones (All 9508's) all come back up. Has anyone else had this crazy problem...we only have this problem at this one site and if even 1 patch cord is plugged in that one module wont come into service but the others without any patch cord will (we found this out when one module still didn't come up and we noticed one patch cord was still making contact) ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED I even tried downgrading to the V3_2_999 and then back up to the 8.1.65 but it didn't help. Thanks

Could be the curse of the 9508s in a new and interesting form, what if just for testing you power up with a 1408 connected is it still the same :)

That would be something to try unfortunately the customer wont let me take his phone system down to experiment. If I get the opportunity though I'll try it just to see if its a phone issue and not an exp mod issue. Good question though.

Sounds more like the curse of the Avaya and what it did to the Nortel Systems.

I had this happen with (1) Dig 30. Turned out they had an analog phone plugged into one of the Dig ports and it was shorting it upon power up. Had to go one by one to figure out which one took it down. Obviously this isn't your issue as it is happening to 4 different dig modules. Are you using the avaya silver tip patch cords to connect each Dig 30 to the main IPO?
