IP Office changing my Extension IDs 1

The documention says: Except for IP extensions, this settings is allocated by the system and is not configurable.
meaning that IP extensions are configurable.

So I have configured alot of extensions in a specific way, but IP Office has renumbered the IDs, should this happen? The extension numbers remained the same as set be me.

Is this by design? If IP Office allows them to be configurable, then why are the being changed?

I want the IDs to be set to specific number to represent something to us.

On server edition they are always changed to what the SE wants, on an IP500 they are configurable. They are also not used for anything but the system so it really doesnt matter what they are as long as there are no clashes.
