strange thing just starting happing to the phones.
As soon as you pick up the phone and dial a number you get a busy signal, but once you hang up and dial again the call goes throguh , Phone switch is On T1

any ideas what could be going on.
Thanks

Do you also have analog trunks installed? Are all unused trunks in a different outgoing group?

We had the same issue. It's as Morrack suggested.
We have a pair of T1's but are only using (read: paying) for 12 lines on the second T1. We had the same issue as yourself start happening around the 9th of August. Once we switched the outgoing group of the unused circuits on the T1 everything went back to normal. It'd be nice to know why it suddenly started happening on the 9th of August.. we didn't upgrade any software.

I'm guessing you suddenly got very busy that day, and for the first time had that many trunks in simultaneous use.

Nope, It wasn't that busy at all. Either way, the problem once it started, persisted for the next few days. Even during night-times when no-one was in the office. We may have spiked to full circuit utilization for a few minutes but once it started, it kept going.

I guess it's all academic now, but perhaps the carrier for some strange reason changed your T1 to cyclical hunt?

I hate it that you can't delete posts here.... ignore the above obviously that would not be the cause.

[morning]
