IP Office 9.1.3 system status can not open 2

I get an error message that says windows can not find Javaw.exe, I have tried a modify, repair and a complete reinstall but still can not get system status to open on my windows 2012 voicemail pro server. Any help would be most appreciated, thanks guys

After a Java upgrade it removes the javaw.exe from the following directory on your computer/server:
C:\Windows\SysWOW64
The new directory is located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_51\bin\javaw.exe

Copy the javaw.exe and paste it in C:\Windows\SysWOW64
Now you have a working SSA using Java 1.8 and the rest of your applications still carry on working that needs the upgraded version

Alternatively you can set the system status app to directly target

C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\System Status\ssaviewer.jar

Then it also just works and affects nothing else.

Do you know a way to place a link to javaw.exe instead of copying the file? That would keep the exe used by SSA actual even with Java updates.

Copying javaw.exe is not the best way since it won't update.
It's better to change the shortcut to just point to the ssaviewer.jar file instead, Windows will find the location of you javaw.exe.

In later versions of the Admin CD System Status uses a .bat file to start instead.

windows vista upwards supports symbolic links
these should be used to link to the correct file
