Having the following issues:
1. Setting the password in VisualVoicemail. User is prompted for the password. Once the "Done" button is pressed, it just keeps prompting for a new password. The only way to get out is to press "Exit" button.

2. All Users have a voicemail box, regardless of if "voicemail on" box is checked or not.

3. Can not access someone else's mailbox from your desk.

Check the users source number, there must be a Vxxx (xxx = extension number)

Yes there are these source numbers in all users with vmailboxes.

1. I've had that issue at prior releases. I had to set the password through *17 the first time.
2. This is how IPO works, every user is automatically assigned a voicemail box. If a user has voicemail Not checked, it won't transfer a caller to voicemail when transferred.
3. This has to do with 1. Until a proper password has been entered, they won't be able to retrieve their messages. Check in Manager, I bet the vm password field is blank.

1. *17 works correctly.
2. Understand
3. Manager shows the password in the mailbox. So it does get created and apparently changed, but you get stuck in the password menu, even after that.

Is there a voicemail code set on the user? just remove it no voicemail code needed.

Removal of the password works. But if any of the users go back in Visual Voice and press the password menu option, they are stuck there. No way to get out unless you press the "Exit" button on the phone. No problem with *17, only Visual Voice.

What software version do you use ?

Homo sapiens non urinat in ventum

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

I only had this issue when the customer tried to set passwords that weren't allowed. i.e. extension or 1111, 1234 etc.

You might need to remove the V(and extension)

V201 for extension 201 under the source tab.

I had a similiar issue recently. It turned out the user was not keying in their old password before keying in there new password so the system kept prompting for the old one until it finally gave the message that the terminal was barred or something to that effect.

I had the same issue with visual voice and embedded voicemail with 6.0.8 with the 5410/5420 phones. I was told by Jenne that the maintenance release resolves this issue.

The issue being the one with not being able to change the password.
