Has anyone ever heard an IP Office talk? It is talking about the lack of call traffic on the system and that the last activity was X hours ago...etc. I'd like to know if there is a way to turn this message off.

Thanks,

lol @intrigant, must be a new compatible phone for FP1

I have dreamed a dream, but now that dream has gone from me.

Will be GA with release 10.2.1.6.22.61.3

But where does the sound come from when there is no phone attached?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I am reading this and I cant believe i am replying to it but here goes

BUT were on the IPO if there is no speaker.
Can you describe the location the sound comes from on the unit,
Front ,top left side ,right side, underneath, Guy standing in the Corner.[2thumbsup]

this is the best thread, ever.

I heard an IP Office make a sound once. It went pop. There was smoke, even. Lately, some of the IP Offices seem to make a slight whirring sound. But only some.

Under 8.1 FP1 there is a new misc VM pro action called quantum flux manipulation... under the specific tab there is TO "speak through IP Office 500 V2 chassis"... and the REPORT can be "system status alarms"... maybe that's it? Maybe it's actually fluxonating the chassis?

I hear voices too but I hear them even if I am not near the IPO [bugeyed]

Give a tech a solution and he will be back tomorrow to ask you the next question, teach a tech how to read the manual and he will be able to solve the problems for a life time.

I just installed a new IPO 500V2 8.1.56. Essential.
After the initial power up the control unit started farting. I thought I was hearing things but heard it several more times, also I could smell something foul.No one else was in the phone room. I was looking all over the system tab for the SBD setting but couldn't find it.Do you think if I uncheck the GSM silent suppression setting should fix it.

Sounds like the damm thing is posessed, have you tried laying a cross on the top of it, maybe a little holy water..?

I still really want to hear it, is it like Stephen Hawking or like the voicemail lady? :)

Worst movie ever made. Really don't know why people were so amazed with it...20 minute landing scenes - shoot me in the face now please!

I have dreamed a dream, but now that dream has gone from me.

I thought HAL and posted a pic of him/it but the link is busted now :)

The IP 500 v2 control unit doesn't have a speaker.
I just replaced one that the power supply fried.
Is there a V3 unit?

Your just jealous because the voices only speak to me.

(Is it April already?)
