Hi

I have an ongoing issue where the system is rebooting several times a day with the following entry in the
system status -

time - Cold start - System reboot.

< Watchdog > Abnormal Termination Addr=00000000 d=0 pc=f00b8a94

Thought it might have been a power issue but doesn't show power failure in the ssa . It was on an earlier version
of 7.0 so last week when I was in I upgraded it to 7.0 ( 36 ) but reboots still happening.
Noticed a few posts saying that 7.0 had quite a few issues. Just wondered if anyone else had the same issue.
Any advice would be appreciated.

cheers

M

The later 7.0 releases were fairly solid - we have many running. Run a standard monitor trace using default values and see what system was doing just before the restart. I'd also change power source, just to be safe.

I would also do the upgrade via reformatting/recreating the sd card just in case the sd card is the cause of the reboots.

Had a 7.0 with embedded vm and a user with over 200 messages, every time he tried to log in the system rebooted but the trace with monitor will show more like mforrence suggested it is the best way to find the bug.

I had this exact issue with an IPO running 6.0 in Partner Mode. I upgraded to the latest 6.0 release, upgraded to R9, reformated/recreated the SD card, defaulted and reprogrammed from scratch. Nothing seemed to work. I ended up replacing the control unit. No more reboots.

I've seen one case where the network was causing this. The customer replaced his router and the rebooting stopped.
