Hello,

I wonder if someone can assist me. I powered down my IP Office 500v1 this evening and it has failed to start up. There are no lights at all and no sign of life. I seem to recall that this is either a fuse or requires a new CCU as it happened once before many years ago.
We are out of our maintenance contract and obviously need to get the system running asap.

What are my options ?
1) Find a replacement v1 chassis ? Would this be a drop in replacement ?
2) Buy a new v2 chassis ?
3) Something else ?

Would there be any licensing issues when changing to a v2 chassis ? It was on a 4.2 firmware though I had purchased a v8 firmware but it was never upgraded.

Next question: I am in the UK, Essex. Where is the fastest place to obtain one of the above (and help with any licensing issues) ?

Thank you

Paul

or you can use v2 chassis power circuit replace your 500v1 power , that is the same.

The best thing to do: Get in touch with a BP, order a V2 and have them do the dongle swap.

If the IPO starts a fire in the future, and the PSU was replace by unauthorized personnel, you won't get a penny out of the insurance company.
(The fire investigators will find out that it was changed)

Talk to Amriddle, HSM, TomMills, IPGuru, they are UK based.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Thank you for your replies. I have managed to source a replacement chassis which is currently winging it's way towards me in the next hour or so.
Hopefully I'll be up and running shortly thereafter .... if not I'm sure I'll be back for some help :)
I'll probably replace this later with a v2 to match my other v2 and upgrade the licences at the same time.

Thank you.

Paul

Make sure it's at the correct level for the old system, or you may be in for a nasty surprise :)

I seem to be getting lots of nasty surprises recently. Thanks for the warning :)
However, my replacement v1 chassis arrived a few hours ago and was up and running shortly thereafter.
Disaster averted for the time being !

Thank you for your comments.
