Hi,

We have an issue with our new IP Office 500 (V9) system which no one can pickup group members calls.

On our old IP Office 406 system users used a short code linking to 'Call Pickup Members' function to pick up a ringing call of a user who was in their hunt group. When the user now enters the short code it says 'Call Rejected'.

Does anyone seem to know why this happens and how to fix it?

I've had people tell me to change the function to 'Dial' but that doesn't work. We are at a loose end now as we cant find an swer to why users cant pick up each other calls now.

Thanks,

Mark

What does your shortcode look like?

Call Pickup Members
This feature can be used to pick up a ringing or queuing call at an extension that is a member of the Hunt Group specified. The call picked up does not have to be a hunt group call. The function includes group members even if their membership of the group is currently disabled.

Details
Telephone Number: Group number or "Group name".
Default Short Code: *53*N#
Programmable Button Control: PickM
See also: Call Pickup Any, Call Pickup Extn, Call Pickup Group, Acquire Call, Call Pickup Line, Call Pickup User.
Release: 1.0+.

Example
Below is an example of the short code setup. N represents the extension number of the Hunt Group. For example, if a user dials *53*500#, they will pick up the call coming into extension 500 (the hunt group's extension).

Short Code: *53*N#
Telephone Number: N
Feature: CallPickupMembers

Hi,

Many thanks, I guess whats strange then is that our pickup didnt need the use of dialing an extension, it was literally adding *53 (example code). It wasnt to pickup the group but to a member in the groups call. As some users do not have a handset with a large screen they used to use the short code. Does this make sense?

You can use just *53 and specify the group in TN, that way it always uses the same group to look for members to pick from.
