IP Office 500 and XO SIP line 3

Hey guys,

I'm trying to add an XO SIP line into my system but I'm unable to get the line working. I can't seem to make or receive calls with the current setup. I'm running IPO 4.2(17) and Manager 6.2(17). I'm going to attach a trace from a outgoing call attempt, maybe someone here can see something that can point me in the right direction:

The IPO send SIP messages to your SIP line but there is nothing coming back.
Is there a firewall in between?
 
There is no firewall in between, only a Cisco router that they provided.

IP of the Cisco router is 65.44.239.9
IP address of XO server is 207.155.153.33
IP address of LAN2 on my PBX is 65.44.239.10

I feel like I have something configured wrong but can't figure out where... If there's any further information I can provide to help you identify any issues please let me know. Thanks again,

the sip messages are send to 65.44.239.9 were it should go to 207.155.153.33

In the sip line set network topology to none.
Add a IP Route like this:
207.155.153.33 mask 255.255.255.255 gateway 65.44.239.9
destination LAN 1 or LAN 2 depending on were the cisco router is connected to.

Then try again
 
Thanks for the info, I had a feeling that the calls might be getting sent to the wrong place however I have a route in place as follows on LAN2:

IP: 0.0.0.0
SM: 0.0.0.0
GW: 65.44.239.9

Hoping that this would accomplish routing the calls through the Cisco... I can refine the route so it only routes the request for 207.155.153.33 if you think it may help. I'll post the results in a few minutes.

try taking the ; out if you can't get it working, sometimes it works better (or at all) only when you take the semi colon out.

On the Sip Line, try to set "Use Network Topology Info" to None or set it to LAN 1 or 2.

If you set it to None it will try to use your IP route, if you set it to LAN 1 or 2 you don't need the IP route. So then try to delete your IP route.

Is the provider using STUN? If not, untick "Run STUN on startup" otherwise use "Open Internet" or "Full Cone NAT"

But it made no difference.

I tried removing the ";" from my short code and noticed that the calls seem to be getting sent to the trunk before I'm finished dialing, but it's still not working.

My SIP line is currently setup with USE NETWORK TOPOLOGY un-ticked. My provider is not using STUN and the option to "Run STUN on startup" is un-ticked.

Should I be putting anything into the Network Topology settings if I'm not using it? There seems to be a default STUN server address and a Public IP address of 0.0.0.0.

Any help is greatly appreciated, if there's any information I can provide please let me know. Thanks everyone!

set up your pc with a ipaddress in the same subnet as the ipo and set the ipo as default gateway.
Enable NAt on LAN 2 and rebbot ipo.
Try if you have internet access on your pc.
If not then the router use another ip address as the default gateway.
ask the programmer of the cisco what to use as the default gateway or if you have access to the cisco do a route dump.

Select the LAN port thats connected to the network where the gateeway is on!

Remove the route, you dont need that if you point it to the right LAN.
IP: 207.155.153.33
SM: 255.255.255.255
GW: 65.44.239.9

If you cannot remove it then select "none" at the "USE NETWORK TOPOLOGY" then the IPoffice will use the IP route.

You can do that if the DSL has only one fixed ipaddress or acts as a dhcp server, in this case just dropping packets to LAN 1 won't work is my guess. But i could be wrong, i have never been able to test that.
 
Sorry Bas, I got confused while I was typing out the settings. I meant to say that "USE NETWORK TOPOLOGY" is set to none.

In talking to the provider it looks like the issue MIGHT be due to the fact that the URI I'm using wasn't actually configured in the trunk. I'll have to wait until after-hours to change this as it will require a reboot. I also think that I might have the wrong IP in the ITSP address field. I found a Tech bulletin where they are using the IP of the PBX in this field whereas in my configuration I have the SIP gateway.

I got it figured out, I saw that the calls were going from my PBX, right back into my PBX which obviously isn't right so I changed the ITSP address to that of the XO server and it started working fine. I had tried this previously but using a URI that was not even configured in the trunk so the trunk was refusing the connection. My DID list had ONE extra DID on it and of course that's the one I was testing with. Sorry for all of the confusion there guys and thank a LOT for the help as always!
