Does anyone know if ISDN COLP (Connected Line ID Presentation) is aupported on the IP Office 406v2 with incoming ISDN 2E circuits - if so how do you set this up so that the connected line ID is reported to the internal handset (2420 DS). Thanks

IT is supported. I have found with BT (and others) that you need CLIP and COLP for it to work though.

I have CLIP and COLP enabled on the BT ISDN2E line, is there configuration required on the IP Office to relay the connected line ID to the extension user (2420 DS). Thanks, Richard

should just work. no config needed.

Can you confirm in Monitor that BT are actually sending the CLI of the person who is calling you?

Yes, I can see the CLI in Monitor when I receive an incoming call (and this is shown OK on the 2420DS phone), maybe I am not understanging COLP but I think that it displays the connected line ID when you make an outgoing call, e.g. if I dial an 0870 number then the underlying BT phone number will be reported back to my IP Office. Thanks for your help

BT definition of COLP said:
Connected Line Identity Presentation
(COLP)
Allows you to confirm that the number
you have dialled is the number you are
connected to and that you have not been
forwarded to another location.
Activation/deactivation of this facility is
not available on a per call basic

However, I don't believe that this will un-mask NGN numbers...

and It appears that the IPO at version 4.2 doesn't support it

The following supplementary services are supported:
• Calling Line Identification Presentation (CLIP) provides the telephone number of the incoming call to the IP Office.
• Calling Line Identification Restriction (CLIR) prevents the telephone number of the IP Office being presented on an outbound call.
• Connected Line Identification Restriction (COLR) Inhibits the COLP service.
• Direct Dialing In (DDI) where the exchange provides the last x digits of the dialed number on an incoming call. This allows IP Office to route the call to different users or services.
• Sub-addressing Allows the transmission/reception of up to 20 digits, additional to any DDI/DID or CLIP information, for call routing and identification purposes.

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

My mistake. I thought you wanted incomming presentation.

COLP does work. I have seen it. If you dial a DDI somewhere, it sometimes changes the phone display to the bearer number.

>COLP does work

Hmm, docs say otherwise - I can't say however, that I've ever seen what what you describe...

Does it unmask NGN?
