IP office with one 23 channel PRI.
Several phones set to call twinning.
Callers receive a message... Call cant be completed at this time.

Is it just the carrier is maxed out or could it be specific to this

circuit.
As far as I know, there have not been 11 simultaneous calls on the circuit.

I appreciate the bone derfloh but you're being a bit vague on that.

It is possible to have i.e. 12 channels inbound and 11 channels outbound from the provider side.

In that case of five people are already calling outbound and another six inbound calls are twinned all outbound channels are full and no other call will be possible.

Perhaps an ISDN L3 trace will give you some hint.

IP Office remote service
Fixed price SIP trunk configuration
CLI based call blocking
SCN fallback over PSTN

...wrong thread derfloh. But I know which one you meant and totally agree.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Ok well, as stated in the first post they have not had 11 simultaneous calls so....
I will call the provider again.

Just to add on this thread hoping that others will find it.

I traced a couple of customers with the same issues and I got from the provider a "cause 34" back

nothing to do with the IP Office or the PRI card or anything.
It is congestion on the providers network due to everyone using the phone. People that used to stand at the watercooler or were in a conference room or even simply went to the next cubicle / office to talk to a colleague have to pick up the phone now and that causes the resources on providers telephone networks to be maxed out.

We will have to tell the customers that this is happening especially when they use twinning meaning every call uses 2 lines and that is the case for a lot of companies adding to the problem vs the companies that use something like IX Workplace and use their Internet connection for 1 of the 2 legs of the conversation.
Good to explain it to them and get your sales involved to sell an upgrade.

Cheers
