I have just rebuilt/restored one my of my DC's. All was well, apart from I started getting messages about there was no static IP address for the system. I checked the connection and sure enough it was set to DHCP. I put the details back and clicked ok, but when I checked again they had all gone. No matter what I do I cannot set the IP address. I have tried reinstalling, restoring again, different NICS, even using NetSH doesn't appear to work.
If I look in the TCPIP part of the registry all the settings are there, and if I do an IPCONFIG /ALL it shows the correct IP, however when I reboot the server they are all lost again, and i'm back to square one.
I've been pulling my hair out since saturday on this one, does anyone have any ideas how to resolve it. I'm told you can delete the TCP stack and reinstall but I can't find anything about how to do this. Any pointers/hints would be most appreciated.
Many Thanks In Advance
Jez.
