Hi

I have a costumer with IP-Office 500v2(9.1.400.137) that is connected to a SIP line.
This system has a IP DECT system connected to it.
They use Avaya 3720 handsets to this DECT system.

When they try to call from the missed calls log on the handset, the system or sets adds a + in front of the number. Resulting not being able to call out.
This applys only to external numbers. Internal numbers works just fine.
They also have 1608 and 1616 deskphones. Calling from the call logs on these phones works fine as well. It`s only a problem from DECT handsets.

I am not able to find any entries or settings to discribe this problem in the manager program or by logging into the master base.

Is there a way to stop the system to add this + sign? If so how do I do it?

Regards
Espen

The + is added by the handset itself and not by IPO. As long as it is ringing the IPO presents the correctly prefixed number. If you look into the call log you will see the + though. I think it is something that has to be corrected in the handset firmware. I already tried to find it as an option in WinPDM but there isn't one.

You can add the + character to system shortcodes and it will be recognised, so just change it to 00 there, I've done it before :)

Someone did set it on the master basestation.
There is a field for that which should be empty

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I found a solution.
It was nothing to do on the master base, nor in the manager application.

The thing I had to do: In the ARS I added a short code: +N; - Dial - N - (line id)

This worked. So now the costumer is happy..

Thanks for your help.

That's not the solution to the root cause. It is only a workaround.
