I am having trouble trying to connect windows 2000 pc's to our existing nt4 server,

we are running dhcp, but are getting an ip conflict warning.

How can this be solved?

Login to ur win2k client and then try to release and then get a new ip from the server.

Sometimes I have that problem, not just with 2000.

As a workaround, if you have a set of addresses that are not handed out by DCHP... give the computer a manual IP. In a few days, you can put it on DHCP again.

releasing/renewing and even deleting from the WINS mapping you think would work, but doesnt (at least for me)

If you ping that address, does it reply?..

kjonnnn, This is the one that makes the most sense to me, as it seems that DHCP has some connection the the actual NIC on the pc for asigning IP addresses. Unfortunately, I am not able to give you feedback as I left that company with it's doomsday machine for a network. Thanks for the feedback though. Thanks for the help
