Where in the Avaya docs can I find information on how many calls are supported using each codec?

What I have read so far is the TN2302 supports the following

G.711 - 64Kbps - 64 calls
G.729 - 8kbps - 32 calls

If G.729 uses less bandwidth why are less calls supported? Or is what I have been told incorrect?
 
The TN2302AP is your limiting factor given enough bandwidth. A TN2302AP will allow for 64 simultaneous calls. If you upgrade to a TN2602AP it will allow either 80 or 320 simultaneous calls. I don't believe that the codec comes into unless you have insufficient bandwidth to support the calls.
 
64 for G.711 which is uncompressed audio. The other codec's are 32 calls (compressed audio).
 
The compression limits the resources used on the board.
 
If you use G.729, the call needs to be compressed, this is done by the DSP’s on the TN2302 board. A G.711 call doesn’t need to be compressed so the DSP’s have less work to do and therefore, can handle more calls.
So while G.729 uses less bandwidth, the DSP’s (Medpro-board) needs to work harder and can handle less calls.

Makes sense?
