TEST SUMMARY:
1 address(es) were requested and successfully obtained.
No correctly configured TFTP Server found.

Press return to exit...

The TFTP server is behind a firewall that is blocking that traffic, or the directory is not configured properly, or the TFTP server isn't turned on or set to accept file requests.

My option 176 has the following:
"TFTPSRVR=172.19.128.52,TFTPDIR=/"

Is it possible you directory switch is the wrong one?

Here is yours:
"TFTPSRVR=172.31.178.1,TFTPDIR=TFTP_Dir\

Sorry for multiple relies.

It looks to me like your scope should read:

"TFTPSRVR=172.31.178.1,TFTPDIR=/TFTP_Dir/"

instead of:

"TFTPSRVR=172.31.178.1,TFTPDIR=TFTP_Dir\"

Simreal,
Thanks very much I will have to get with our IT department and ask them to check these items you have mentioned.Unfortunately Telecom personel does not have access into the domain servers,we have to go through IT.I will update once I find out.

Hi Guys, I have just searched the Avaya site for the Boot Test App but couldn't find it. Could someone point me towards a link to download it. Looks very useful.

Regards

Craig

Thanks but that URL doesn't work for me at all, I get a 404 not found .

Update: Simreal
The IT department turned on the TFTP server,however when I have the far end do a reset(unplug/replug) on the set I do not see the TFTP error which is good,but the problem now is that it boots up without grabbing the new firmware we pushed out to the server.It's currently at 2.3 and we pushed out 2.8.What would prevent the phone from downloading the new firmware.

Thanks,

Occasionaly the phones will look for the .scr file instead of the .txt or vice versa. Make sure you have both in the "TFTPDIR" directory.

Also, in the scope it looks like you have the wrong slash for the direcotry.

You have "TFTP_Dir\" instead of "/TFTP_Dir/". Try changing that and test again. I'm fairly certain thats the problem.

Okay I will send this over to IT and see what happens.
I will get back with you.
Thanks a bunch!
