Hi.
Is it possible to ban computers or ip addresses from accessing another computer/ip? Using Windows 2000 server.
Thanks

are you referring to computers inside of your network or outside??

unplug the offending computers from the network :)...probably won't work eh?? Ok, fine, be that way...off the top of my head I can think of three ways to do this:
1) If possible, use the Windows firewall (not sure what platform your desktops are)
2) Place a router/firewall between the mischievious computers and the one you want to deny them access to
3) Use an IPSec filter to block the traffic

Like I said that is what I can think of off the top of my head, there are probably much better solutions out there that I am not thinking of. Anyone else??
