I am trying to get IP Agent working for the first time and I am having some trouble.

When I call from or to the IP Agent extension 53202 There is no audio talk path in either direction.

I did run the audio tuning wizard from within IPA. The sound card works fine with other applications, and the mute button is not on. I've also tried another PC at another desk with the same results.

What are some troubleshooting steps I can take from here?

Thanks

Is your PBX equipped with either a MedPro or Crossfire board? They are required to do the TDM to IP conversion.

If you have the cards the application needs, the only issue that can cause this problem is the network, I had the same problem when I was trying to install a new range of IP agent extensions, so I check the routers an it was a problem with the network configuration.

Yes, I have a MedPro in Network Region 1 with the CLAN I am pointing IPA to.

Also, I am testing directly on the same LAN as the pbx. No routers or firewalls in between.

for testing purposes I took the clan and medpro out of network region 1 and created a new network region 3 with just those 2 in it. I set the IP addresses on our private 10.10.0.0 network.

I can connect and make phones ring (same as before), but still no talk path.

I think this might actually be a network problem after all.

I need to check the vlan settings on the switch port that this medpro is plugged into... the medpro failed test 1379 which attempts to ping the gateway.

I'll post an update Monday after I can get into the ofc and check the switch port.

Gee, I sure wish someone had said it was a network problem ;)

It indeed was a network problem, osonegro had it right.
