Hi, just trying to get IP-Agent to work on a definity 9.5, but run into some issues; (IP Agent version 3.0.04)
When I get the agent installled it seems to work, the client logs into the definity and, and when I dial the extension it rings, and I can even answer the call.
I set up all buttons and FEA's according to specifications
Non of the other functionality seems to work though.
It just selects a call appearance which is stuck until the call times out.
When I try to transfer the call it just puts it on hold and does nothing.
When I try to log in the agent through the the login button it does not react.
However if I select the dial pad and enter the FEA manually it logs the agent in correctly.
Another weird thing is that the the regular softphone works flawless.
does anyone have a clue about this?

Do a "display system-parameters customer-options" and verify two items.

1. Around page 6 are you RTU for agent logins. Verify that you have IP Agent login RTU.

2. Last or Next to last page verify that IPAgent is again present, and look at the "rel" release number. You may only be authorized to use V2. James Middleton

thanks,
1st one seems OK got 500 of those,
release seems to be empty though,
this is what it shows;

Product ID Rel. Limit
IP_Agent : 24
IP_Phone : 2
IP_ROMax : 1000
IP_Soft : 12

Thanks

Rob

IP agent V3 can only be used with release 10 or higher. If you are on 9.5 you can only have RTU's on V2. If you continue to have issues you might want to call Avaya. There are a number of patches out.

Blank is good.

Also, you can not have the softphone and IP Agent loaded on the same machine. James Middleton
