Trying to use IP Agent and Auto In: ACD but won't log in. I hear the codes but agent never logs in and there are no error messages runnign a trace. If I change to "station" I'm fine. Is there a limitation of some sort. Apologies don't use IP Agent much at all.

I've never used IP agent, so guessing here, but do you have the auto-answer set to ACD. If you have then there needs to be an active headset or the system will automatically log out the agent. This is why you hear the beeps and the trace shows you logging in.

If auto-answer is set to none, it'll stay logged in.

Currently I have auto answer set to Station. Should I place a headset button on the station and then activate?

TY!

On the station you need Auto-in and aux-wrks. What station type are you setting up. If it's a 6408D+ you need to add a headset button. Most modern phones come with headset buttons (i.,e. 4620 ip phones or 2420 digital phones) Either way, you need to have the headset button activated to stop the system logging you out.

If you keep the auto- answer at station, check what auto-answer says on the station form. If it says none then the system doesn't look for the headset to be active. If it says ACD or ALL then you need the headset button active.

Hope this helps.

I ran into the same issue, the agent log in only worked when the IP Agent software was set to "Automatically log in" when you open the application- not just the pbx. You may need to open the application once and close it so it works, the next time you open it.

Added the headset button and life is good. You think I would know this because IC requires the same headset with ACD login but just wrong mind set today working on an IVR project.

Thanks for the refresher!

Actually still not wokring unless I change the agent autoin to station. Leaving it ACD, activiating the headset button then trying to log in I get the confirmation tones then logs me right back out adn the headset button becomes diasbled

I tried:

Closing and opening the app
Agent Administration for auto-answer is set to station, ACD, or all.
Station Administration for auto-answer is set to ACD or all.
Station Administration has the service link set to permanent.

This doesn't make any sense according to why the phones could be configured but it's working with Agent = ACD and Phone = All

If I set Phone = ACD I can't log in. I'm runnign 3.1.4 and don't see any known issues or PSN.

I'm about ready to pull my hair out :( :) :(

Configuration inside the IP agent application on the PC

TOOLS> PROGRAM OPTIONS> GENERAL SETTINGS
click
ENABLE AUTOMATIC LOGIN
ENABLE SUPPORT FOR AUTO ANSWER
HANDLE VOICE CALL REQUESTS FROM OTHER PROGRAMS

and then go into the TOOLS> PROGRAM OPTIONS>ACD AGENT
click all of the options
