IP Admin 4.0 software 1

I just purchased a new laptop with Windows Vista Home Ed. Premium operating system loaded on it and I managed to load the IP Admin. 4.0 on to the laptop but when I try to open the program it is able to open but never finds the control unitAny help really appreciated Thx J

Its got to be a firewall setting I would have thought? Is it off or at least manager.exe added as an exception?

See Tech Bulletin 87. You are not using a version of Vista that is currently supported.

For some reason it is by default not possible to let Manager send a broadcast to the network.
If you enter the units IP Address to search for then it will show up.

Has anyone figured out a way around this no broadcast from Manager issue on Vista?

What's interesting to me is that Phone Manager can broadcast and find the local IP Office control unit but Manager can't. This results in an interesting work around, but it would be nice to be able to broadcast.
