Our company has two different sequences of IP addresses. One set of IP addresses are hard coded, the other set is assigned by the DHCP manager. Although our server recognizes both sets of addresses, when logged on it does not show users for all IP addresses, only the users within your sequence of addresses. How do I get the server to recognize and combine both sets of addresses ???

You can migrate everyone to DHCP and can allocate certain IP addresses to always be assigned to certain MAC addresses if you wish to retain the current static addresses

are both sets using the same subnetmask ? Peter Van Eeckhoutte

You could try:

(1) On the Server(s), you could also add the other IP subnet (or for that matter, both subnets) to the route table as static permanent routes.

(2) Use virtual IP's and enable IP forwarding on the server(s)...in other words, add a second IP to your NIC and let your server be a pseudo router, able to see both sides.

(3) Install a second NIC in the server(s) and give each one an IP on each subnet and enable IP forwarding. (makes the server a pseudo router)

These are just ideas... Aint this fun?!? ;-)
