I am setting up a new server, transfering from an old one... so it's been some years since I have setup from scratch.

Things appear ok at the server, but the IP addresses (mail, websites etc) are not returning anything when I ping. I can't access the sites using the IP address... it all just shows as not being available (though I can connect RDP to the server using any of the IP addresses).

Not sure what I could have possibly missed. I've setup IIS and the settings all seem ok and everything works on the server itself.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I've got the ping working... was just disabled, but the first thing I thought of when it didn't work.

The problem I now have... is IIS on the new server seems to be working. I can go to an IP address for a website being transferred and it does come up, but only on the server. When I try to connect from a computer not connected to the server, no website shows up for the IP address.

I can ping the IP address, no problem... but just can't get it (or any others) to show anything.

Please help!
