Could some one please tell me wht command to use to get the IP address of another machine in win nt.

Thanx.
 
Depends on what information you have about the other computer! If you have its name you can try pinging it. Or if you have access to the machine, run IPCONFIG from the command prompt. Or if you run DHCP have a look on the DHCP server to see which computers have which IP address. Just a few ideas!
 
nbtstat -A ip address will give you the computer's name using the ip address.
 
nslookup [hostname] or
ping [hostname]


P.S.->do not include the [] in the command
