Hello,
I'm being asked to record the IP address of our clients.
We're not using DHCP, and I don't really like the idea of having to go to each client system and look up the information.
I imagine there is a way to find out the IP information associated with each client on the network/domain, via a tool or command that I can run at the SBS 2003 server.

Any ideas?

If it is a class C address range you can download and use Foundstone's SuperScan for free. It should ID most of the hosts on the net and provide hostnames if you ask it to do so.

Do a search for a program called angryip. It's an IP scanner that will give you some info on the hosts it discovers.

If all machines on members on the Windows Domain you can look in DNS or WINS for this info.

Or you can use a simpel VB script to get the info
