I have a customer that needs to change their IP address scheme. We have a CS1000 on rls 5.5 and need to change the IP address to match the customers new address scheme. I am having a brain malfunction as to what IP address in the CS1000 needs to be changed and what other equipment IP addresses will need to be done?

Any help would be great!

thanks

It all depends what is connected to the system. If you are changing just the ELAN addresses, you'll change the call server ELAN. If you have contact center or callpilot, then you get to change those as well. If you have sig servers and VGMC/MC32S cards then you get to add those into the mix also. IP changes can range from not so bad to several hours reconfiguring multiple devices. It all depends on the environment.

The ELAN IPs are for internal system communications and (hopefully won't) be associated in any way with the customer LAN.

If your TLAN and CLAN IP schemes are the same then the TLAN can be changed for the CS & SS through Elements Manager. Expect some down time for this for you may have to do several restarts to complete it.
