Know not best practice but wanted to get feedback/advice on possible configuration.
Have client who is looking to upgrade to IPO. They currently have 320 Analog Extensions and 80 Digital Extensions. Would move digital to IP. So 320 Analog and 80 IP. Low call volume. No more than 12 people on phone at a time.
Seems IP Office will allow me to configure 400 Extensions while testing on house system. Didn't give any errors.
Could I just program the extra IP Phones and will it work? Seems like 384 is more a limitation of physical extension ports. And I don't think an extra 16 extensions would be that taxing to control unit. Especially as only 80 would be IP phones.
I understand completely this is not supported configuration. I understand any experiences shared would not portend we would have same.
Could this work? What advice would you provide.
