I need some help!

I want the IP 500 LAN1 have customers PC's serviced via DHCP on this subnet.

LAN1 = 192.168.42.1
DHCP server is on and PC's can see each other.

On LAN2 i want to have Internet service with a static public

LAN2 = IP 66.65.xxx.xx

I cant get LAN1 to send internet traffic thru LAN2.

Thanks in Advance.

Two things:
1. You would be better off to buy a router that is REALLY built for this.
2. Do you have an appropriate route statement in place? That is the most likely culprit

0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 - 66.65.xxx.xxx (gateway address), lan2.
that should work...

You only need to activate NAT on LAN2 and a default route to the gateway address of LAN2.

A simple mind delivers great solutions
