IP 4602SW in Black

I have only ever seen grey phones. I came accross a black one today. Is this a US spec phone??

If so, is there any reason it should ever cause me issue on a UK system. They don't default to MuLaw or anything do they.

I would guess if I ever needed to send it off for repair they would tell me to "do one" as it is a grey import.

I have never seen a 5000 series phone in anything other than gray. The 9600, 1600 and 1700 are all black. The 4600 (06, 12 & 24) came in both black and white.

Didn't think there was an option.

I've seen pics of the 4606 etc in black so assumed a black 4602 would be a US model.

I wonder if it is an early model and the black colour didn't last.

After all, I have seen an IP500 in the old white colour before they decided to go all Definity on us when they released it.

Just look at the first 2 digits of the serial number and it will tell you the date of manufacturer.

The 4600 Series in the US is black or grey. Most common in the US is the black color for the 4600 series to make them look like the common 4400 series from the MAGIX in Black.

MMIPO that is only on the old 4606, 4612, the new ones 4610 and 4621 are grey.

HAHA. I still use my "white" IP500 (aka samba) as my production unit. Only problem is that I had to add a legacy carrier carier card to it after GA and it is gray so it doesn't match.

There are also a few "white" 4610's and 4620's out there. I have one of each just because they are different.
