We are having trouble getting an analog 8 port expansion back to life.

The main unit is an IP403, 3.2(69), successfully updated and working.

We are doing the standard .bin erase and upload procedure ( DTE AT-X, TFTP via manager... ), and are having trouble with the TFTP transfer.

When using Manager, hyperterminal shows the unit is continuously sending TFTP Poll, but the TFTP Log is showing nothing.

We tried 3rd party TFTP servers, and the farthest we got was receiving the file request, the transfer starts, but nothing is sent, the IPO keeps sending TFTP Poll, and starting new transfers, but no data is sent...

Did you read this post:

If nothing works then i think the port on the back is broken or the one on the ipo.
Your only option is then to move it to a different port on the ipo.

Homo sapiens non urinat in ventum

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

AV, FW...everything is off. Tried two laptops, 3 TFTP servers...

We will try the other expansion ports.

@tlpeter

we managed to get the TFTP file request, so I believe the procedure is correct, the same as the one at your link.

If the address range is different the PC will receive the request bot not be able to send the file :)

the IPO 403 is at the default 192.168.42.1, the PC is the only thing connected, 192.168.42.11

I think we used AT-X2 & AT-X3 on the module, could that mess it up?

Repeat the process using AT-X, the AT-X2 and AT-X3 is not the same thing as an AT-X :)

The link tlpeter posted is right, including the coffee.

You don't need to default the IPO because you have to send a config that includes that module.
Best is if you specify the TFTP server address too, to be sure you will be searched by the IPO.
Then just connect the DTE connector to the module and AT-X:

The tftp pull will took more time than usual for many reason but if the phisical connection (or the module) is not faulted you will be able to pick it up.
