IP 1230 don't come up with BCM 450 r6

We got a blank screen when we connect an IP 1230 to bcm 450 r6. We are connected in the bcm lan port 2 so there is no firewall or ip adress conflict. The Phone received an ip adress from the bcm and the bcm see the mac adress. The bcm has the last patch available.
We tried two new 1230.

There have been problems with the 1200 series phones and the 450. I had several that did not have firmware in them. The firmware had to be installed through a TFTP server.

Is there any document on how to upload the firmware in the 1230?

Voul - It is not specific to BCM but the CS 1000 "IP Phones Fundamentals" NTP has an appendix on upgrading via TFTP.

DigitalD - The 12xx ship from the factory with a very basic software pre-loaded. They need to connect to a BCM, CS 1000,.. and then download a full software load.
