IONCP.....COMMAND LOST 1

This is what happends when I do an IONCP:
IONCP;
NETWORKING CONNECTION
NODE/IODEV LIM USER TYPE/CON IP PORT PROC
NIU 1 (............more than one minute waiting..........)
COMMAND LOST

I've erased all the conections and the commands work fine (of course, no connections are showed, but the command is correctly executed), but when I recreate with IONCI the same error appears again.
Curiously, the conection is Ok! I use it for CIL and the NIU sends the data correctly to my IP and Port, but the problem is still there.

I've restarted TWP2 and TWP3, and, of course, RFBOI of the NIU.

Any idea?

I have 2 NIUs (in 2 different MDs) with this problem. Both of them are used for CIL:
IONCI:IODEV=NET,USER=CIL-1,IP=ip,RPORT=port;

The niux versions are R6A and R8A.

Hi aprasha

I recommend that you upgrade the NIU firmware on these NIU borards. Older versions of NIU firmware gives these problems.
In general you should NOT restart FIP&NIP as these programmes are basic to the NIU boards.
If you have e.g. two NIU boards, one connected with a Call Centre with Application Link and another with Call logging, Intercept (*23*) or Voice mail (on V24/RS-232 or LAN) and restart FIP&NIP, all these applications will be restarted!!
That is also the call centre!!
Therefore I recommend that you restart the following programmes if there is a problem with the following applications:
Intercept (*23*)/LAN ------- ILNP in the actual LIM.
Intercept (*23*)/V24/RS-232 - ILCP in the actual LIM.
ACD/CCM/Application Link ---- DCTAP&DCTPP in the actual LIM.
LOG-ON via NIU ---- TWP2&TWP3&IPP in the actual LIM.

Take great care when restarting programmes!!!

If you can tell me which version of MD110 you use, I can tell you what firmware for NIU, that you should upgrade to.
MD software could be BC10 CNA x, BC11 SP x, BC12 SP x.

the latest firmware for NIU is the latest firmware
regardless of BC version and cna/sp.

I have not had any problem using latest NIU firmware
in older cna/sp versions .But of course there is
fixes for the NIU in the firmware and there are fixes
with patches in the units .So best pracsis would be update to latest BC version in conjunction with firmware.

let me put it this way :

SP11 - R13A
SP12 - R14A
SP13 - R161

if you have lower servicepack, it's time to upgrade (to SP13)

I recommend using the following NIU-firmware for the various s/w versions of MD110.
BC11 SP13 (newest) --> NIU firmware R16.
BC10 CNA144 (newest) --> NIU firmware R15.

It is of course allways recommended to upgrade to the newest s/w version of the MD110 s/w.

By the way....Using IONCP:IODEV=NET; It works correctly! (NET is the name of my IODEV, of course).

Seems that MDs couldn't search the IODEVs from the "IODEV list" ?¿

don't use R15 for NIU (big troubles, hanging TCP ports etc..., just use R16 instead)
