Iomega ZIP-CD 4x650 issue

I just recently formatted my HD, and ever since that time I've been unable to write normal cd-r's. The problem is always the same "the requested block is not in the current track". However, CD-RW's are no problem to write. I've tried a gazillion things so far, wasted 6 different brands of cd-r's, but with nada result. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!!!

When you formmated the disk have you elimminated the partition or just cleanned the disk ?? Andre Silva
